At The Doghouse School™, we are committed to more than just offering services; we focus on creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for your dog and your family. Our dedication to safety and transparency sets us apart, and we are excited to share this promise with you. Please review this Agreement carefully before using our services, as it outlines key terms and conditions for all parties. You acknowledge your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions by engaging with our services. This Agreement grants you access to various convenient services designed to enhance your experience. Our Terms and Conditions are easily accessible on our website and provided during the booking and checkout processes to ensure a clear and transparent interaction.
Definitions
Pet Owner/Owner: The individual or authorized representative who books, schedules, or pays for services provided by The Doghouse School™ and is legally responsible for the pet receiving those services. This includes, but is not limited to, legal owners, guardians, family members, or caretakers authorized to make decisions on behalf of the pet.
Services: Any offerings or programs provided by The Doghouse School™, including daycare ("Recess"), boarding ("Sleepovers"), transportation ("Canine Carpool"), bath services, and any future offerings as advertised or listed on our official website or promotional materials.
Facility/Company: The Doghouse School™, located at 3710 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122, and any other locations, facilities, vehicles, or premises operated by or under the control of Canine Carnival LLC (DBA: The Doghouse School™).
Agreement: This Terms & Service Agreement, including all referenced or incorporated policies, waivers, and additional terms as explicitly stated herein or otherwise provided by the Company through official documentation, booking platforms, or websites.
Pet: The dog(s) or animal(s) receiving services provided by The Doghouse School™, as identified by the Owner during the registration or booking process.
Authorized Emergency Contact: The individual designated by the Owner to make urgent or emergency decisions concerning the pet's health, care, or transportation if the Owner cannot be reached.
1. Services Provided:
Recess (Daycare): 10 hours of supervised group play in natural, climate-controlled environments.
Sleepovers (Boarding): Overnight stays include daytime play, bedtime tuck-ins, and soothing music.
Canine Carpool: Transportation to and from our facility (priced per dog, per zone).
Bath Services: Basic grooming is available upon request.
2. Hours of Operation: Check-in and checkout windows are strictly enforced; no afternoon arrivals are permitted.
Mon–Fri: 7–9 a.m. (Arrivals/Departures); 4–6 p.m. (Departures only)
Sat–Sun: 8–10 a.m. (Arrivals/Departures); 4–5 p.m. (Departures only)
Half-Days: See website or contact staff for details.
3. Holiday Closures:
We do not accept arrivals or departures on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.
4. Payment, Cancellation, Reschedules & Packages:
Payment is due at booking. Deposits are non-refundable unless canceled within the stated policy.
Cancellation Windows:
2+ days: Full refund/credit
1 day prior: 50% refund/credit
Same day: No refund
Packages:
5-Day Package: Expires in 30 days
10-Day Package: Expires in 45 days
20-Day Package: Expires in 60 days
30-Day Package: Expires in 90 days
*Packages are non-refundable with fixed expiration dates. Medical emergencies may warrant an extension upon veterinarian documentation.
Reschedules: Follow cancellation policies. Same-day reschedules require a veterinary-approved letter.
Standard Fees:
$7 – Same-Day Booking or Walk-In
$10 – Late Arrival/Departure (5-minute grace)
$15 – Carpool Cancel/Rerouting
$15 – Alternative Daycare (health/behavior exceptions)
Property damage/cleaning fees may apply
5. Appointment Modifications:
Daycare to Boarding: Notify staff by 2:30 p.m. to avoid additional charges.
Early Boarding Pickup: Notify staff by 6 p.m. the day prior to avoid additional daycare fees.
6. Health & Safety Requirements:
Dogs must be leashed and vaccinated for Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza.
*Canine Influenza is highly recommended but not required.
No fleas/ticks/illness. Treatment fees apply if found.
Puppies: 16+ weeks, fully vaccinated.
Seniors (5+ yrs): Higher risk acknowledged; liability waived unless staff negligence.
7. Medication Policy:
Medications must be clearly labeled with veterinary instructions. The Doghouse School™ is not liable for adverse reactions or complications arising from administration as directed.
8. Emergency Protocol:
In emergencies, immediate contact attempts will be made with the pet owner or the provided emergency contact. Veterinary expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. If traveling internationally, the Owner must provide an accessible emergency contact. Natural disasters may require relocation (additional fees apply).
9. Abandonment Policy:
Dogs left 48+ hours past dismissal without communication may be considered abandoned. The owner is responsible for any costs incurred.
10. Right to Refuse or Terminate:
Services may be refused or terminated due to aggression, health, or policy violations.
11. Personal Belongings:
The Company is not liable for personal items, including, but not limited to, leashes, bedding, toys, etc.
12. Canine Carpool Terms & Liability:
Dogs must be leashed and collar-secured.
Owner is responsible for ensuring their dog is comfortable with vehicle rides and non-aggressive in confined spaces.
The Doghouse School™ is not responsible for any injuries or conditions resulting from motion sickness, vehicle-related accidents, dog-dog interactions, or unexpected behavior during transport, except in cases of gross negligence.
Owner waives claims related to traffic delays, weather-related issues, or changes to routing made to ensure dog safety.
If a medical issue occurs during transit, staff will make reasonable efforts to contact the Owner or emergency contact and seek veterinary care if necessary.
Dogs showing excessive stress, motion sickness, or reactivity may be removed from carpool eligibility.
13. Media Rights: Images may be used in all media indefinitely without owner consent or attribution.
14. Assumption of Risk: Owner accepts inherent risks in group play, including minor injuries or rare serious incidents. Medical costs incurred are the Owner's responsibility.
15. Liability Waiver: Owner releases Canine Carnival LLC and its affiliates from liability except in cases of gross negligence.
16. Indemnity: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Owner agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Canine Carnival LLC, its owners, employees, agents, contractors, successors, and assigns (collectively, "the company") from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, demands, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees and court costs) arising out of or related to: Any act, omission, or negligence of the Owner or their pet while on Company premises or under company care, custody, or control; The Owner's breach of any term of this Agreement, including misrepresentations regarding their pet's health, behavior, or vaccination status; Any third-party claim arising from the conduct of the Owner or their pet while participating in services offered by the Company; Any injury or damage caused by the Owner's pet to another animal, person, or property, unless directly caused by the Company's gross negligence or willful misconduct. This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of services and this Agreement.
17. Legal & Dispute Terms:
Governing Law: Tennessee
Informal negotiation and mediation required before court action (Shelby County, TN).
Unpaid balances may lead to collections.
If part is invalid, remainder stands.
18. Electronic Communications:
Owner consents to electronic communications (email, SMS, etc.) related to bookings, transactions, and offers. Opt-out available for marketing communications.
19. Privacy & Third-Party Services:
We use third-party platforms (e.g., Goose.pet) for booking, scheduling, payments, and communication. Owners consent to data sharing per respective privacy policies.
20. Force Majeure:
The Company is not liable for service disruptions due to uncontrollable circumstances such as natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, utility disruptions, or government actions.
21. Non-Discrimination Policy:
Services are provided without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, disability, breed (subject to temperament), or protected classes under applicable laws.
22. Entire Agreement: This Agreement includes a release of liability and a waiver of certain legal rights and remedies. By signing this Agreement, you represent that you have read and understand it and agree to its terms. We encourage you to seek the advice of legal counsel if you are unsure of its effect. By using any of our services, you agree to the policies, procedures, releases, terms, and conditions set forth above. This Agreement amends and supersedes any prior agreement(s)between you and Canine Carnival LLC relating to the subject matter herein.
